The lotus rises from muddy waters to bloom in perfect purity. In Indian tradition, Lakshmi — goddess of wealth — is seated upon it. MIA's form draws from this ancient symbol: intelligence emerging from complexity, wealth growing from the roots you've planted.
Why bloom over face? The humanoid holographic face is technically impressive but risks the uncanny valley — especially at smaller sizes where features become indistinct. The bloom is scale-proof: the luminous core reads at 28px, the petal ring reads at 44px, and the full organism unfurls at 380px. No visual information is "lost" at any size.
Zyra DNA — layered complexity: 11 visual layers (field → neural paths → orbits → filaments → petals → inner ring → core → iris → spores) create the same depth as Zyra's character design (body → vines → thorns → particles → ability effects → ambient glow). Each layer has independent animation timing, so nothing feels synchronized or mechanical.
Restraint as luxury: Animation amplitudes are deliberately small (1-3deg rotation, 2-3px translation). Nothing overshoots. This follows Audacity's voice — "quietly powerful" — where confidence comes from precision, not spectacle.
The header and inline marks use a rotating conic-gradient around the border — a subtle luminous shimmer that makes the avatar feel like a cut gemstone catching light. No other AI avatar (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, CRED) uses this technique. At 44px, it gives MIA an unmistakable identity without needing complex internal detail.
The shimmer is masked to only appear outside the core (using radial-gradient mask), creating a clean boundary between the mark's interior and the ambient petal light.

Following Dharam's logo construction principle — every variant is designed, not cropped. The full entity isn't "shrunk" to 28px. Instead, each size is a purposeful reduction: petals become the conic shimmer, the iris becomes the M letter glow, filaments become the pulsing border. The visual DNA is preserved but the expression changes.
This mirrors how Audacity's logo has distinct symbol-only and full-logo variants — each designed for its context, sharing DNA but not geometry.
In gold mode, the bloom is a metaphorical lotus — wealth as precious metal. In green mode, the metaphor becomes literal: a living plant organism, market growth as organic growth. The Zyra connection is strongest here — green petals, vine-like filaments, ascending spores as nature thriving. This dual reading gives the avatar conceptual depth across both product modes.
Idle = Zyra's idle stance. Everything moves, but slowly and independently. The bloom breathes. Petals sway at different rates (5.3s to 6.2s) because real organisms don't synchronize. Filaments drift with unique timing (4-6s per tendril). Spores rise and dissolve over 5-7 seconds.
Thinking = Zyra casting. The core pulses faster and brighter. Spores accelerate. But the movement is still smooth — energized, not frantic. The metaphor: intelligence intensifying, the bloom drawing energy inward before expanding.
Performance: All animations use only transform and opacity — GPU-composited
properties. No layout or paint triggers. will-change is avoided to prevent layer explosion;
the browser naturally promotes animated elements. Respects prefers-reduced-motion.
The avatar state system (idle/processing/speaking) maps directly to Neural Bloom's breathing, thinking, and speaking animations. The dual-mode pattern (large vs inline) inspired our 3-size scale system.
The golden orb + amber chat bubbles is the closest reference to MIA's visual identity. Neural Bloom's luminous core, gold palette, and warm bubble borders come directly from Audacity's design language.
The trust signal pattern — MIA should incorporate similar data-credibility cards (ratings, track records, verification badges) to build trust the Indian fintech way, alongside the conversational AI interface.
